The College of Druids common among the Bryndffolk Tribes of the North, The Druí Roth Mohr travel freely among the Rhæg advising Taisech (chief) and Rígh (King/ Queen) alike.
There is a heirarchy within the Druí Roth Mohr. The primary priesthood and the majority of members of the Druí Roth Mohr are druids who bear the title
Druí. These are the spiritual guides, ceremonial leaders, shepherds of lore, tradition and the layfolk in the
Bryndlands. The Druí Roth Mohr has a very loose organization based on experience and knowledge, but for the most part they have a flat heirarchy.
Druí will take and train aprentices.
Ærkakh are bound to their master for a period of years (normally 4-6) learning the skills, lore and magic necessary to become Druí themselves. They are normally young, being recurited when they are adolescents and serving their Druí and their Circle until passing the Trials of the Greenlife and the Hornking.
The Druí Roth Mohr do not build temples or grand cathedrals. They do not gather the faithful in masse to perform their rites in a public setting. Instead, the Druí Roth Mohr maintain groves in most communities among the
Bryndlands for the workings of small rituals; blessings of marraiges, children, funerary rites; the local
Taisech is given their rite of Talún Gaes in these small local groves.
The Druí Roth Mohr erect great stone circles at magically significant locations throughout the Bryndlands. These places are where the most powerful and secret rites of the Druí Roth Mohr are performed. Each of these circles is overseen by a "Great Druid", the
Drumohr. Drumohr are responisble for observing the circles, guiding and counsiling their bretheren. The Drumohr also commune with the spirits of the Greenlife to guide the Druí Roth Mohr in their stewardship of the land. On Midsummer's Day and Midwinter's Night, all the Drumohr who are able to journey gather at a convention to cast the most powerful rituals of the year.
Leading the Midsummer and Midwinter rituals is the first among the Drumohr, the
Aírdrumohr. This supreme Druid is chosen from among the Drumohr and presides over both the Midsummer and Midwinter rituals for the year.
The Druí Roth Mohr revere Gods which are a part of Fahr Ryasc. They venerate Sealglas highest above the others, for the Druí Roth Mohr, Sealglas is the living spirit of Fahr Ryasc, and all the other spirits of the pantheon are different reflections of her quickened to individuality.
Sealglas the Greenlife came into being when life first flourished in Fahr Ryasc. She caused the natural world to grow from the foundation of the world. At first, Sealglas was everything and everything was Sealglas, but as the ages went on, her creations became more complex. The elements, the spirits of plant and animals, those parts of her being which guided these things began to think on their own, becoming the Elemental Gods and the Hornking. Sealglas' final act of creation was bringing the Bryndffolk into the world and breathing living spirits into their bodies.
The Druí Roth Mohr first and foremost serve the land of Fahr Rasc, and the Bryndffolk communities second. They identify places of power, divine and obey the will of the Gods, and defend the Balance against the Gods and agents of both Law and Chaos.
Worship of the Gods is made through thanks giving for the bounty of the land given the Bryndffolk. Thanks for harvests, game, fertility, the greeting of the morning sun and evening moon are all traditions among the Bryndffolk Tribes. The Equinoxs and Solstices are times of sacrifice performed at sacred groves and sacred stone circles by the Durmohr. The Druí will also walk among the communities of the Bryndffolk and, when they deem it the will of the Gods, ask for special sacrifice.
Formal worship of the Gods is exclusively performed by the Druí Roth Mohr. Communion, prayer and divination are held in secret. The Drumohr appease the Gods when transgression is made against them, and make requests for the Gods blessings on behalf of their people.
The Druí Roth Mohr employ a very loose heirarchial system of authority. The Druí of the order travel freely among the communities of the Bryndffolk. They advise and counsil, rather than minister. The faith of the Druí Roth Mohr is not an evangelical one. For the community there is no special rites or rituals specific to the faith.
Becoming a Druí demands a period of initiation and apprenticeship, with the Druí Roth Mohr. These
Ærkakh begin by tending to sacred groves under the direction of an older Druí (normally old enough that the life of constant travel is impractical). As the Ærkakh come closer to their confirmation into the order, they are assigned to accompany a Druí for a couple of years to complete their instruction. When an apprentice is deemed ready, they are brought to one of the sacred stone circles to take the Trial of the Greenlife and Hornking. Those who pass are initiated as a Druí and full member of the Druí Roth Mohr
The Druí Roth Mohr know the secrets of the land of Fahr Ryasc itself, and can change shape, call upon the elements, command animal and plants, and work the bindings of fate itself. The greatest power given the Druí is the power to bind the Taisech of a community to the land through the ritual of Talún Gaes.
The Druí Roth Mohr are a faction of great importance at all levels of Brynd society. They are advisors, and annointers. Children are blessed, Righ are crowned, and most importantly, the bond of the Talún Gaes is sealed by the Druí of the Druí Roth Mohr. While, the order does not seek to rule the lands which they tend, they weild their inflence and power to maintain and defend their independance and neutrality. Because of that policy of political neutrality, the Druí Roth Mohr also ask as mediators for conflict and officiators for cultural ceremonies. Impartiality in all things that do not directly relate to the will of the Gods, or the independance of the Order is a bedrock of the Bryndffolk social and political structure.
