Coastal Rangers

The Coastal Rangers originated as a group of former Canadian military and RCMP personnel who banded together to protect the survivors of Vancouver after the bombs dropped. They operate out of a small fort on the outskirts of the city and are known for their expertise in survival, marksmanship, and hand-to-hand combat. They follow a strict code of conduct and prioritize the safety of others over themselves. The Rangers are generally respected by the people of Vancouver and have formed alliances with other factions in the area to maintain some level of peace and order.

While the Rangers do bring in new recruits, they are led by the ghouls that initially founded the group.
  • Commander - Lieutenant Aidan Hatfield
  • Second in Command - Sergeant Elliott Bishop
  • Head of Training - Inspector Diane Thatcher
  • Head Quartermaster - Corporal Kayla Jones

Defensive Pact

The Coastal Rangers have agreed to help defend Yubeesee against external threats, but has little interest in internal policing. In exchange, Yubeesee provides food and supplies to the Coastal Rangers.

Trade Partners

The Rangers aren't overly fond of Fraser, believing them to be extortionists and con artists more than anything, but are still reliant on them for getting ammo. Meanwhile, Fraser may not officially admit it, but they greatly value the protection the Rangers will provide to their caravans.

Aware of eachother

The Coastal Rangers are aware of the concerns that many have about the Collective, but ultimately don't see the destruction of a peaceful community as their job. The Collective has little interaction with the Rangers, but respects what they are trying to do for the people of Vancouver

Tense Peace

The two groups are barely able to tolerate each other. The Rangers are willing to shoot the Eagles on site if they catch them actively threatening civilians, but have not yet. Aside from regular law and order reasons, it is unclear why the Crimson Eagles hold a heavy grudge against the Rangers.

At war

The 7th views the rangers as a group of terrorists and communists hellbent on preventing the American liberation of Canada. Ranger leadership still hold grudges against the 7th for the American invasion and occupation of Canada. The Rangers are too small a force to actively go on the offensive against the 7th, and the 7th isn't cognizant enough to hunt down the Rangers, leading to a kind of cold war.
