Eye of Chaos

This item is shaped like a perfectly-round sphere of pure silver, 2 inches in diameter. Despite its small size, the sphere weighs about 2 pounds. It was found in a guarded chest hidden away in Jorokk's secret room. Though no magical aura seems to emanate from the sphere, it appears to respond to magic.

1. Attempting to Identify the sphere failed, but also resulted in the caster feeling as though another mind was attempting to peer into his own.
2. When the sphere came into contact with Vaauna, a person teeming with Wild Magic, it began to vibrate.
3. When attempting to place the sphere into a Bag of Holding, it resisted the opening like two matching magnetic poles.

Arzok the Hollow theorizes that the sphere might have a connection to The Beyond, thus explaining how it cannot be detected or identified. Currently, it is unknown where Jorokk found this sphere, what he intends to do with it, or what its other properties are.
As of December 989, Sulu identified the item as the Eye of Chaos by making inquiries that the sphere responded to via empathic telepathy. A chaotic, sentient being resides in the sphere. It is, by its own admission, connected to Chaos and The Beyond in a significant manner, though it does not identify itself as an avatar of Chaos.
