Bhaskaran (/bʌˈskɑː.rən/ ("buh-SKAR-an"))

The Bhaskaran are a sub-race of the Lupa in Farsae, celebrated for their grace and deep communal spirit. They thrive in the sprawling grasslands and savannas, where their culture and daily living are shaped by the vast, open spaces and a necessity for cooperative existence.   Physically, the Bhaskaran are known for their sleek fur, which ranges in shades from golden to deep russet, and even darker tones like browns and blacks, allowing them to blend into the varied hues of their environment. Their eyes, often bright amber or green, exude a keen awareness, vital for their survival in the expansive plains.   The social structure of the Bhaskaran is distinctly communal and egalitarian. Their homes, low and wide, merge seamlessly with the landscape, offering protection and strategic vantage points. Leadership rotates based on merit, reflecting the importance placed on each individual’s contributions to the pack's prosperity and survival, regardless of their age. This fosters a strong sense of unity and mutual respect among them.   Artistic expression is a significant aspect of their culture, with Bhaskaran creating large, communal artworks using natural pigments and dyes directly on the landscape, symbolizing their connection to the land and to each other.   The Sky Song Festival is a profound cultural event for the Bhaskaran, held when the night sky is at its clearest and the stars shine the brightest. During this festival, individuals adorn their bodies with luminescent paints that mirror the constellations above. As the night unfolds, Bhaskaran either embark on personal pilgrimages to connect with the spiritual essence of their environment or engage in intimate encounters with loved ones, reinforcing personal bonds and their communal ties. These activities are seen as spiritual journeys that enhance their understanding of themselves and their place within the natural world, reflecting the deep celestial connections that guide their lives.
