Taivaskar (/taɪˈvɑː.skər/ ("ty-VAH-skur"))

The Taivaskar, are a sub-race of the Lupa in Farsae known for their resilience and strength. They are robust and larger than many of their Lupa counterparts, with thick fur ranging from dark greys to whites and deep blacks. Their eyes, often a striking contrast of deep blues or vivid greens, reflect the depth of the forests they roam. Adapted to the rugged life of the woods, Taivaskar are excellent trackers and hunters, capable of navigating treacherous terrain with ease. Their communities are built to withstand the severe weather, with structures that are both insulated and camouflaged by the natural surroundings.   Taivaskar society is closely knit and highly organized, mirroring the social structure of wolf packs. Leadership is based on strength and wisdom, with a clear respect for the leaders who are seen as both protectors and providers. The concept of the pack extends beyond familial lines, encompassing the entire community where each member’s well-being is valued equally. Symbolism plays a significant role in Taivaskar art, with a preference for materials sourced directly from their environment—wood, stone, and bone. Their crafts often depict scenes of the forest, wildlife, and celestial bodies, reflecting their reverence for nature and the spiritual connections they perceive in the world around them.   Upon reaching maturity, each Taivaskar participates in the Ceremony of the Guardian Spirits, where they venture alone into the forest to find and bond with their guardian spirit, often represented by an animal or natural element. This spiritual encounter involves crafting a small totem of the spirit, which they carry for life. The totem is believed to offer guidance and protection, and its creation involves intricate rituals known only to the Taivaskar.
