Aboleth of Kuo-Lan

The nameless Aboleth who rules the city of Kuo-lan is a reclusive figure. While he uses his psionic powers to reign in the worst of the Kuo-Toa's mad tendencies, his existence is hidden by most citizens of his city, who instead believe they are under the command of Vi-Poolgol Rronkopp. While his own people do not realize he is present, plenty of scholars and outsiders are aware that there is an Aboleth who rules the city, a secret he allowed to slip to increase the political and military bargaining position of the city, and by extension, his own power.
