Kuo-lan

Kuo-Lan is a city in The Sunken Sea, in the Underdark. The city is populated by the amphibious Kuo-Toa, and keeps itself apart from other Underdark nations. The Kuo-Toa sometimes take tunnels to the surface to raid ships sailing on the Dragonmaw Sea. They are led by Vi-Poolgol Rronkopp, the Priest-King of the city. Uknown to most members, the madness of the Kuo-Toa is kept in check by the city's true ruler, an ancient and nameless creature, the Aboleth of Kuo-Lan.
