Grand Navigator

The Grand Navigator is the ruler of Aradis. The role is matriarchal, but not hereditary. All Grand Navigators begin working on ships, usually as captains, but the Grand Navigator rarely spends time sailing themselves. Acting more as a Queen to Aradis, the Grand Navigator is the ultimate authority. Only the Knight Ascendant of the Presidiare, or the collected representatives of the Ten Houses can question a decree by the Grand Navigator, and in the case of the Knight Ascendant, only in matters of war.
The Grand Navigator resides at Grand Villa, located in the Navigators Bazaar in Imbar.
