Pyhrtha

The largest city in the Underdark, located at the heart of the The Burning Grounds, Pyhrtha is widely regarded for it's dark majesty, even among surface scholars. The city is crafted of burnt-looking black stone and dark iron, in a massive underground cavern, upon an island in a small sea of lava. Unlike most Underdark cities, Pyhrtha is home to a variety of races and peoples, although the it was originally built by the Fire Giants. The city is ruled by the Obsidian Dragon, Varklast, although he is rarely if ever seen, leaving the city in the hands of the Fire Gianr Regent Uvrost.
