Professor Horatio Ooksbody
Professor Ooksbody is the head librarian at the University of Dern. He is an alchemist as well, but is mostly known for his extensive knowledge of history and long tenure as a key member of the College of Artificers at the University.
" Professor H. Ooksbody comes from a long line of renowned scholars, including his father, Professor Cadvan Brown, and maternal grandfather, Professor Peregrine Ooksbody, both of whom ran the library before him. Hee was taught from an early age to respect and love knowledge, and had a special interest in history. Like his father, the young Horatio was schooled at the University of Dern since he could talk and quickly excelled at his studies. Once he was of age, he travelled far and wide to correct oral histories from people most scholars had long ignored. However, after the premature death of his father, Ooksbody took on the role of Head Librarian and has maintained the University’s extensive collections for more than two decades, and has been honored several times for his dedication to his work. Under him, the foriegn language collections have been considerably expanded and he has worked to organize the collections by subject matter, as well as making a comprehensive catralogue of what the University has. He has taken the library from being merely the largest collection of written works in the world to being a groundbreaking facility as revolutionary as the legendary library of Turran."
