Secondary Deities

Secondary Deities were born into existence after the planet where Fennengath is located was formed. Their parents are the Proto Deities and the Primary Deities. Secondary deities often share some aspects of their parents' or siblings' domains.   There are eighteen Secondary Deities;   Secondary Deities are worshipped throughout Fennengath, though few freestanding temples to them exist. If a follower of a Secondary Deity needs to find a house of worship and there are none nearby, a temple to their deity's parent will suffice. Most temples to the Primary deities have alcoves, and even clerics, dedicated to the worship of that deity's children. While rare, temples to the Secondary Deities do exist, especially in areas where their influence is often needed. For example, a temple to Reinhild, goddess of the forge, may be found in a small mining village rather than a temple to her parents Isme or Zinaed . Home alters and other personal signs of worship within the home are also more common in the worship of Secondary Deities than that of Primary Deities. People living near a river are much more likely to pray to a home alter for Ameyali, and woodland hermits to have a carving of Kodrin above their doors, than they are to trek to the nearest town to pray in a temple to one of the parent gods.   Secondary Deities are often seen as more personable than their parents, and closer to the people who worship them, sometimes serving as intermediaries between worshipers and their parents. But the Primary Deities are often portrayed as much more powerful than their children.
