Kingdom of Vilia

The Kingdom of Vilia, also known as the White Lily Kingdom, is the oldest human kingdom, which prevailed through millennia, conquering, crusading and also fighting against rebellion and rising powers. It lies on the eastern coastline of Settan, covering lands to the Cold Mountains in the middle of the continent. Its power and greatness are known throughout the whole of Ferdlan, because of its various conquers, allies, pacts, and diplomacy, which spread its might and culture across every continent. The stories and legends of heroic White Lily Knights and nobles that stood against the injustice of other rulers and beasts of the Underground still sound in every tavern and banquet, spreading the fame of Vilians and their nobility.

Structure

The most powerful role in the Kingdom of Vilia is the White Lily King, rightful ruler of Vilians, the protector of lands of Hathoria, sovereign of the Oligarchy of Darthland, and member of Laurelan Protectors. His rule is not absolute and is shared with the Lilac Council, which consists of a hundred members, whose role is to decide the country's future alongside the White Lily King. All important roles throughout the Kingdom of Vilia were in the hands of the nobility. These great lords, who came from long-lived families, possessed an exceptional level of respect among the populace and their ilk. Although they were always associated with prosperity, nobility and power during the Kingdom's golden age, in modern times even they have experienced a decline, division and some poverty. Nevertheless, they all continue to do their part when times of war come, grabbing their swords in hand and moving to the battlements. Modern Villian nobility is divided most generally into four types:

Aristocracy - this part of nobility is the wealthiest and has the most political power accumulated. Every city is under the rule of a member of the aristocracy. It includes titles like: prince, duke, and count.

Landed gentry - this part of nobility is characterized by ownership of towns and lands around them. it includes titles like: marquess, margrave, landgrave, and baron.

Homestead gentry - this part of nobility has the smallest lands under their rule. It includes titles like: knight, patrician, and gentleman.

Landless nobility - this part of nobility is barely nobility at all. They do not possess any lands and their little power and respect are connected purely with their family line. Members of landless nobility do not have any titles but instead are regarded as sires.
