The Sacred Antina Forest

The Antina Forest is said to be one of the oldest forests in all of Fold. Having originally stretched east into what is now Alunis, only a small portion of the ancient Forlorn forest remains. It's lands having long since been guarded by the people of Ufrela to prevent what little remains from vanishing.
Antina is in a constant state of growth and change. The forest containing strange properties of life; it is not uncommon for a new animal or plant to be discovered every so often.
One of the last remaining Greial trees, rumored progenitors of all life, is said to rest in this forest.

Geography

The Antina forest consists of flat lands. Rivers from Mompi carve through the land before disappearing into Bosque. The Auriel Mountains to the north help protect against the heavy sandstorms that are prevalent in Alunis. The forest itself is set atop a steep plateau, sharp cliffs to the south leading off to the ocean and Bosque.

History

The Forlorn Forest was once a massive sprawling forest. When the catasrophe that destroyed the Malith Empire, and transformed [Alunis into what it is today, occured; the majority of the forest was destroyed or began to decay shortly after. What little remains of the forest is now the Antina forest.
