The Black Spider has found the Wave Echo Cave and is trying to locate the Forge of Spells while kidnapping or killing any others who stumble upon it.

• Sildar Hallwinter told the party that Gundren Rockseeker and his map to Wave Echo Cave were sent to Cragmaw Castle on orders from someone called the Black Spider

• Glasstaff told the party that the Black Spider was a drow in command at Wave Echo Cave looking for the Forge of Spells
• The party found correspondence from the Black Spider to Glasstaff ordering him to capture Gundren Rockseeker and the party and find the map to Wave Echo Cave
