Mylia Selarn
My sister Mylia is a cold, heartless fiend. She has no capacity for kindness, and only sees people as objects to be used.
A pretty girl with dark brown hair and delicate features who has a ready smile that rarely touches her eyes. She married Marcus Horrigan to join to the powerful Horrigan family of Waterdeep, ensuring power for her house. She ruled in Secomber as of 1497.
Personality
Mylia was manipulative and conniving by nature, having inherited little of her grandfather’s goodwill. While she was not evil (she took no delight in the suffering of others), she was also not at all averse to using others to meet her own ends.
She was known to have held special loathing for her twin sister Arya Selarn, whom she say as simple minded & naive.
History
After the death of her father, Gryndel Selarn, Mylia was whisked away to Waterdeep so that Duke Horrigan could press her claim for inheritance of the seat of the Selarn family, and thus the settlement of Secomber. This was the beginning of the War of Secomber Succession. The Horrigans insisted that though twins, Mylia had been first through the birth canal and therefore she was the rightful heir.
Thanks to the intervention of the Lords of Sharpstone Keep, the Horrigans were victorious in the war and Mylia was confirmed in her leadership of the Selarn house.
