Introduction to nothingness
Once the group travels to the ethereal plane, they will encounter very different moments of the history of the forgotten realms.
When Lorke enters the Ethereal plane for the first time, he will be floating around the ethereal plane without knowledge of up or down. Behind him he sees some kind of rupture, through it he sees where he left. Around him he sees nothing. Nothing happens and if he wants to move, he has to pass a DC 15 intelligence check or take 1d8 psychic damage, his mind too confused to comprehend floating without direction and sense of up or down.
He will blink in and out of the ethereal plane seeing clouds around him occasionally but before he reaches them, he will return to the material plane.
