The Dreaming Dragon
Near the Downriver Gate sits the Dreaming Dragon, a tavern favored by elves and halflings for its custom of hosting the telling of a great story or epic ballad every night. The Dragon is also well known as one of the few establishments in Faerûn to offer elverquisst, a ruby-colored elven liquor "distilled from sunshine and rare summer fruits”, and of particularly fine quality at that. Greatly prized by elves, elverquisst is flecked with gold that, upon the uttering of a particular Elvish phrase, will coalesce into 13 points of light that resemble the constellation of Correlian, whose appearance marks the end of summer in night elf traditions. Autumn often finds elves gathering at the Dreaming Dragon to chant an old ritual and share a goblet with friends.
