Government
Bob Butterfeld is the elected mayor, answers to the Primrose Monarchy. He's a little bit insufferable, a little bit not the best at actual mayor-ing, but does fantastic at catering to tourists and kissing up to the crown. Her Majesty's Guard has one of their largest stations in Chippinshire, with an impressive tower nearby with an excellent view of nearly the entire kingdom. History
The Great Unraveling of 796
A minor anarchist movement started up in Chippinshire that advocated for abandoning the Weave Method and instead farming on private, separated plots, keeping crops and livestock separated. 796 AD marked a span of 16 years in which a large portion of Chippinshire land was painstakingly uprooted and farmed in this newfangled divided fashion. In 812, a new mayor was elected on the platform "Unraveling: It's Just Plain Silly!" and put a stop to the practice. A new cultivator was brought in to start the long, hard process of re-weaving the land. Ever since, locals of Chippinshire have been staunch advocates of the Weave Method and are quick to recount the story of the Great Unraveling should detractors speak up.People of Note
