Kawakuni
The region of Kawakuni is made up of several nations spread across its islands. They were once united under the Empire of the Sun, ruled by the descendents of the sun goddess Amaterasu, but after she withdrew from the world, faith in her descendents failed. A civil war broke out when the northeastern islands of Kawakuni declared independence as Yonshimai, inciting rage from Taiyo-Aki (the Empire). Soon other regions declared independence, most of which were individual islands of the region. The Empress has continued to try to unite Kawakuni again, but the other nations have resisted, many becoming allies against their mutual enemy.
