82 Eridani was located at a distance of about 20 light–years or 6.13 parsecs Trailward–Rimward from the Sol System.

History

The headquarters of the United States Colonial Marine Corps' Eridani Marine Space Force were located on the planet Helene 215. Also orbiting the star was the moon of Dažbog, which was known for its heavy metal deposits.
