NEW EARTH COLONY
New Earth Colony was a Three World Empire colony world located in the HD85512 System of the Outer Veil's Neroid Sector. In 2157, by which time it was regarded as one of the 3WE's longest–established and most successful colonies, New Earth was devastated by the outbreak of a virulent alien plague, prompting the INTERSTELLAR COMMERCE COMMISSION to order a complete sterilization of the world and its moons. Afterward, the 3WE and THE UNITED AMERICAS blockaded the HD88512 System to prevent any unwary individuals from landing on New Earth and potentially bringing the infection back to inhabited space. Shunned by wider society, the survivors of the NEW EARTH PLAGUE were housed at the Pype's Dream colony on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Rim.
