The Common Prosperity: Anti-slave Act
The Common Prosperity, Anti-Slave Act, is Federation legislation which illegalizes the institution of slavery; be it of fellow humans, monsters, and hybrids in all member nations of the organization. The general purpose of this act is to eradicate disunity between fellow humans that would lead to conflict, eliminate risk to humans that arise from holding monster slaves, and to placate and garner hybrid support for the Human Federation.

The Common Prosperity: Anti-slave Act, was an a legislation that was met with much backlash in its initial proposal. In the times of the act, slavery was a waning practice yet was still a major industry in many nations. Slavery was an expensive yet profitable business of the ultra rich and influential and as such there was huge push back towards an anti-slave act. This was especially true for the Protectorate of Pated of who the slavery of monsters was seen as a necessary industry for work in dangerous environment. yet many more reasonable individuals saw this as a natural evolution of the Federations agenda. Many nations were at odds with each other over the slavery issue, especially those nations that were victims of slave raids on their nations.
Pated's Refusal
All throughout the introduction, deliberation, and ratification of the Anti-slave Act; The protectorate of Pated was at the forefront of the opposition. Being a nation that heavily relied on the import and exploitation of slaves, the nation blocked the measure at every opportunity. They started a misinformation campaign, staged a walkout during all talks and at one point threatened to leave the Federation. Ultimately these blocking measures proved futile and the law was passed. Though initially the nation refused to sign the agreement during the ratification, but its protectorate status made them an obligatory signatory.
