THE SHINY SHIELD

A round hoplon-style shield of steel polished to a mirror finish. The finish never dulls or scuffs and reflects images perfectly. The shield was created by the goddess of the Harvest when she smashed the hammer of the Smith god with the butt of her scythe after she was summoned by the use of Hellebore Root to poison the city of the Caarth in the Pearl Sea by Gin & Meade.
The shield is carried by Meade, and is the subject of a prophecy of the grasslands people of the T'Chad region - the bearer of THE SHINY SHIELD will defeat monstrous evil and marry a princess of their tribe, being the father of a great dynasty.
