Caarth

Also known as the Serpent-People, the Caarth are a near-human of reptilian humanoids dwelling in the Pearl Sea. Cold-blooded and exceedingly cruel, the Caarth are devotees of the goddess of the Moon who they honor as the Serpent Mother.
The Caarth vary wildly in physical appearance, likely due to their incessant vivisection and experimentation, but all are possessed of reptilian and ophidian features. The majority of Caarth are broadly humanoid, covered in scales and with snake heads. Others have humanoid torsos but with snake-like lower bodies. Of these, two sub-species or castes have been identified - the powerful warrior Justrali and the priestess Lamia. All Justrali are male and all Lamia female, but it is not known if these are the two sexes of a single sub-species or if this is yet another example of the Moon goddess' mono-gender debasement of the goddess of Love's plan for life.
