Mer
Mer are the third most populous group of intelligent life on Gaia. these are human-like with elven to mystical like attributes. These people are often longer lived than Humans, and some beastfolk. The definition of a Mer can also be seen as something that is unhuman or fantastical and does not fit into the human family. Its worth to note, these races can breed with Humans without assistance.
These races are ancient, along side the Dragons they are one of the most old, however they do not breed as much as the others, and often live in secluded territories or regions.
Elves
Elves are the most common of the Mer people. These are usually tall, slender human-like humanoids that live great ages and ammass wisdom or techniques not known to a more primal human.Orcish
Akin to elves, orcish seem to have a more primal and tribal attribute to them, they can be seen as a mix of beastkin-and elven heritage. They rely on alternative violent measures compared to the more finesse elves.Dwarven
Dwarves are considered Mer for their abnormally long lives. They are usually short, stocky and built small humanoids that live within the mountains or Underfoot. They have been around for as long as Elves have been. The term of a Dwarf can refer to any race that isn't quite human, yet fit the definition of something small, short and ancient.Fairy/Fae
This term is often misudnerstood as anything with wings and that is small, however the fae are considered Mer due to their ancient linage and long lives. They are a large group of Fantastical and other beings that can not fit the other terms. This is also divided into tow subgroups, depending on their moral compass.Seelie
The Seelie are fae that remain good on the moral compass, they dedicate their lives to doing good deeds and protecting lands and people from any wrong doing or harm, no matter what. It ususally ends with non-violence or non-lethal conclusions.Unseelie
The Unseelie are pranksters that are in it all for themselves. They care not how others feel, or what they can do, or what their consequences even are. These fae are often seen as evil, and usually expected to do malicious things to others.
