Draconic Magic

Infernal Dragon Spells (so far)

  1. Twinfire (5th level): Draconic, Goultani & Rouzhai spell, Action. The caster generates two fireballs, range 150 ft and each covering a 20-ft cube. The targets make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d8 fire damage upon faliure and half upon success. Each ball can hit separate AoEs or be concentrated on the same one; targets only take damage from the ones that hit them. The caster can move the fireballs around corners or cover that isn't obstructive (ex. a full wall around the target), but the target has disadvantage if the caster can't see them or otherwise know their precise location. For every spell slot above 5th that this is cast, the range & damage of each fireball increase by 20 ft & 1d8 , respectively.
  2. Dragon’s Wrath (7th level): Draconic, Goultani & Rouzhai spell, Action. The caster generates three fireballs, range 200 ft and each covering a 30-ft cube. The targets make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 6d8 fire damage upon faliure and half upon success. Each ball can hit separate AoEs or be concentrated on the same one; targets only take damage from the ones that hit them. The caster can move the fireballs around corners and demolish cover up to 5 ft thick to get through to one. If the target succeeds on their saving throw against an attack that broke through cover, they take no damage (taking half damage if they fail). For every spell slot above 7th that this is cast, the range & damage of each fireball increase by 20 ft & 1d8 , respectively.
  3. Infernal Star (9th level): Draconic, Goultani & Rouzhai spell, Action. The caster generates five fireballs, range 250 ft and each covering a 40-ft cube. The targets make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 7d8 fire damage upon faliure and half upon success. Each ball can hit separate AoEs or be concentrated on the same one; targets only take damage from the ones that hit them. The caster can move the fireballs around corners and demolish cover up to 10 ft thick to get through to one. If the target succeeds on their saving throw against an attack that broke through cover, they take no damage (taking half damage if they fail). After all five are launched, a sixth fireball fires from the center of the others' source. The fireball targets 30 ft AoE of their choice within range, dealing 8d8 fire damage to anyone in range that fails a Dexterity saving throw, or half to those that succeed.

All Dragons

  • Share Draconic Essence (2nd level): 1 minute, targets all chosen creatures within 15 ft, Verbal, Somatic & Material (a couple drops of caster's blood), 1 hour duration. For the duration of the spell, the caster shares their own draconic essence (or the essence of another participant of the ritual) with all participants. Beneficiaries possess resistance to the dragon essence's damage type and can add 1d4 of the associated damage type to one melee or ranged attack per turn.

Dragonborn

Breath weapon adjustments:
  • Poison breath - if the victims fail their saving throw by 5 or more, they are poisoned until the end of the dragonborn's next turn.
  • Lightning breath - if the victims fail their saving throw by 5 or more, they are paralyzed until the end of the dragonborn's next turn.
  • Cold Breath - if the victims fail their saving throw by 5 or more, they are restrained (frozen) until the end of the dragonborn's next turn.
  • Fire breath - if the victims fail their saving throw by 5 or more, they are burned until the end of the dragonborn's next turn, taking 1d6 fire damage at the start of their next turn.
  • Acid breath - if the victims fail their saving throw by 5 or more, they are burned until the end of the dragonborn's next turn, taking 1d6 acid damage at the start of their next turn.
At 11th level, Dragonborn can use their breath weapon twice per long rest. Dragonborn & Draconic Bloodline spellcasters have access to the Draconic spell list of their ancestry,
