King’s Blade Dominus Rawlin, The Bronze Bull
Dominus Rawlin (a.k.a. Bronze Bull)
King's Blade of Blackstock
Bio: The Bronze Bull stands tall and broad chested with shoulder length hair pulled back over his ears, parted at the front. His face is strong with a square jaw and morning stubble surrounding his greying-blonde goatee. A life of loss and battle is apparent by the grim look on his face. His eyes are bereft of happiness and he can both stare into your soul and stare through you with a single dull, blue-eyed gaze. The wrinkles of time show under his eyes although few laugh lines would start to crack the skin near his mouth. Even in battle Dominus found no joy, he is an incredible fighter and did it for honour and duty. The Rawlins are a long standing ally and distant family of the House of Windslayer. His clan claimed the title of King’s Blade many generations ago and ever since, they have been the sworn sword and protector of the Eastking. Dominus grew up as Addikus’ squire and was eventually knighted his King’s Blade. Dominus fought in the Vargen uprising as well as the battle of Blackwood where he earned the title of the the Bronze Bull. He has his men shine their shields to the point of being mirrorlike so that their enemies see their own fear as they rush the Rawlins in combat.
He was married to Krisin Zinar but she died while sick in her teenage years shortly after they were married. She was with child and Dominus lost his wife and son on the same evening.
He masked his grief with victory in combat.
He wears a necklace under his signature orange armor with a cement imprint of his childs tiny foot and woven with the hair of his love.
Although he claims to have moved on, he has never remarried.
His duty to battle lead to him claiming the title passed through his family as the King's Blade, a duty bound protector for the Eastking.
When Addikus shut his doors, Dominus was the only one who was allowed to visit.
He hated Addikus' lover and felt she kept him locked away.
He wears the shield made of tempered mirrored iron so his enemies can see their scared faces when they face Dominus in combat.
Stepped down as Chief so that he couldn’t sway the vote. Karson Zinar, his brother-in-law took over the role.
He is the front runner to be voted after a year of mourning. Rudelf will return to be the electorate as he is the only one who can but because he abstains from royalty, the vote will be superseded and the Tenth eastern Moot will commence in the summer. Technically Rudelf could get voted in by the clansleaders but they know he will turn it down as he has before. This means after the vote is cast and enough leaders vote for an out of family member, even if Dominus wins, because he is not of direct kin, the moot must take place.
