Chilovak

The chilovak (from Dvekmenu чьловѣкъ, čьlověkъ, "human") were a race that arose in the Oecumeno-Aresran landmass following the Caliemhan around 10000 years ago. They are written about in the Dwarven Chronicle. By 2000 BCA at the very latest, and likely far earlier, when the first traces of Horil proto-writing begin to emerge, they had already developed into the various Chilovakian races.
The phylogeny of the Chilovakian races is complicated and subject to a great deal of debate, as the speed at which the modern races developed, along with the fact they developed into races that would seem to fit into different phyla that had already diverged millions of years ago indicate the radiation of the Chilovakian races was not driven by natural selection.
