Much of the grazeland plains are owned directly by the crown. Various other regions of political or material significance are owned by the crown as well. The centre and East of the country is controlled by House Varani, a xenophobic House ruled by a mageocracy with a distinct distaste of Southerners. The majority of the Olok Mountains region is controlled by House Sadryon, a mercantile body in control of much of the country’s mining and export of raw materials. The Northwest of the country is under the control of House Kaad, who are ruthless opportunists always seeking to increase their power and influence on par with the other “Great Houses.” Parts of both the Utrisch and Olok Mountains are controlled by dwarven clans, but do not have any official recognition, officially being part of the Crown Lands.
