Pição
Pição (/ˈpiːʃaʊ/ /-saʊ/; Varaso: /ˈpiʃãw̃/), previously called Varas (Varaso: /ˈvaraʃ/, Vallaran: [ˈu̯äːräːs̠]), is a city in the Holy Enzimian Empire. Previously the capital of the Varaso Empire and cultural centre of Eussis, it is now a small city in the province of Elicia."The profanity of this city runs deep to its very foundations, but there is nothing so unhallowed that God's flame cannot cleanse."
History
The city was founded as Varas by the Varasos, a Vallaran people sometime between its mythical founding in 814 and when it appears in record in 951. Through the time of the Varaso Kingdom and Varaso Empire, it served as the capital of the state, until 2355, when the capital was moved to Alvoradã. In 2356, Varas was sacked by the Enzimians, and in 2370, the empire was officially dissolved and absorbed into the newly created Holy Enzimian Empire. The same year, the Enzimians renamed the city to Pição to try to abolish the legacy of what they perceived as the "heathen" Varaso Empire.
