Xöngüü Alginate

The Xöngüü Alginate was an ancient Xöngüü-ruled state in the Dischitar. Founded by Bolu Alg around the year 439, it eventually expanded outwards into the Narrows and Areltya. The Xöngüü Alginate is most well known for defeating the Horil state of Gdorukog.   The Xöngüü Alginate is important as being the first recorded alginate, that is, the first state ruled by an alg. Their conquest over Gdorukog marks an inflection point in Dischitic history as the start of human ascendency in the region. A series of Human-led alginates would follow, ruling over a mixed Human-Horil population until much of the Horil population were led out of the Dischitar by Uzholch.   As the Dvekmenu Empire weakened through the 6th century, the Xöngüü expanded into Areltya, Luscovy, Dresh, and even southern Vrezia. The Xöngüü conquered Godhome in 618, but did not hold the city long.   The Xöngüü Alginate was conquered by the Tarshans beginning in 695, with the Tarshans conquering the last Xöngüü holdout in Areltya in 717.
