Akos Canyons
The Akos Canyon region is an area of Rekea that is an offshoot of the Shadow Barrens. Located in a lower area between two tall mesas. The sheltered area is dry with howling winds through the canyon and many interesting creatures and minerals. In addition the creatures in this area are hardy and resilient cave dwellers primarily as the canyon is also known as the corridor of a million caves.
Geography
The Akos Canyon region consits of a several mile long corridore between two giant mesa's measuring 3 miles wide at the most narrow point. The canyon walls being 3543 feet high. The terrain is relatively flat with a river winding through from the Makura Wilds beyond. The most notable feature of the canyons are the millions of caves scattered through the walls of the Mesas.
Climate
Summer temperatures usually average between 69.8-80.6° F. It normally does not go above 100.4° F and evening temperatures are cool, at around 50° F.
Fauna & Flora
The most notable fauna of the region are the Shithious, Shadow Kronae, Rainbow Dusker, Girto, Burrowing Gretter.
Tourism
The only people who visit this area are those seeking to hunt on Reakea and those who are part of official expidtions for the Adventurer's Guild.
