Oryova

Oryova — previously known as the City of Hills, but now known as the City of Twilight — is the capitol of the Duchy of Gol-Kasha and its largest settlement with over 80,000 residents. The city is principally ruled by Duke Andrei II Albescu — known by his detractors as the "Shadeless Lord" — as well as the Council of Oryova — a collection of burghers and priests from the Church of Eighteen Eyes. Recently, the city has undergone a transformation with every part of it within its walls cast under a massive spell of night, said to be in open defiance of the "corrupt Prophets of Light," and specifically They Who Call the Dawn, all of whom are said to be traitors to mortals for the events of the End Times.

Districts

Oryova is divided into six districts, with three occupying the north bank, two occupying the south, and one straddling the two, connnected by the Great Bridge:

• Priderow,
• The Shambles,
• The Temple District,
• The Channel District,
• The Lantern District,
• And the Circus District.

In addition to these six districts, five smaller communities exist outside the city's walls:

• Marchway, accessed via the March Gate in Priderow,
• Styrun, accessed via the Green Gate in the Shambles,
• Mossbank, accessed via the Channel Gate in the Lantern District,
• Retreat, accessed via the South Gate also in the Lantern District,
• And Freetown, accessed via the Ever-Open in the Circus District.
