Lonjiku Kaijitsu

The Kaijitsu's are one of the four noble families of Sandpoint. They own, operate and take pride of one of Sandpoint's most successful businesses: the Sandpoint Glassworks.   Lonjiku Kaijitsu is the leader of the family. He was born in Magnimar . His father Rokuro Kaijitsu, was a noble of Magnimarian aristocracy and one of the four founding nobles of the town of Sandpoint . Lonjiku married Atsuii who died during the Late Unpleasantness . Since her death he had become a misanthropic, bitter man.   Lonjiku failed to establish good connections to his children Ameiko and Tsuto —especially the latter, a half-elf whose very existence was open proof of his late wife's infidelity. Ameiko , his eldest daughter, was a successful adventurer and, thereafter, the owner of Sandpoint's Rusty Dragon Inn , but was no source of pride for him either.   You have met Lonjiku in Session 5: In the Footsteps of Goblins and Other Short Stories and you found his tormented body in Sessions 6-7: Glass! .
If your character has Knowledge(Local) +6 or more she knows the Lonjiku's family history is slightly more complicated than commonly thought: Lonjiku sent the baby-boy Tsuto to live in the Turandarock academy away from his mother and sister. Tsuto grew up a bitter and hateful man. Since his mother was not allowed to see him, the only family he knew was his half-sister Ameiko who visited him in secret. Tsuto fell in love with her - affection that she never expressed in return.
Some time before the Late Unpleasantness Tsuto and Ameiko had a fight and Tsuto hit her. Ameiko left Sandpoint and became an adventurer. She came back some years later for her mother's funeral. At the funeral Tsuto blamed Lonjiku for killing his mother, and the accusations escalated into a fist fight. Tsuto then left town and never returned.
Ameiko stayed in Sandpoint to take care of her father, but after a few bitter months she left too, leaving the old man alone. She returned a year ago, and after another bitter argument with her father she decided to buy the Rusty Dragon and become an innkeeper. The old man had seen this as yet another betrayal and insult, since he hoped Ameiko will inherit the Glassworks from him.

If your character has Knowledge(History) +6 or Knowledge(Local) +8, she knows that in 4687 young Lunjiko was on one of the three ships that sank in a storm off the Lost Coast just across from the Brinestump Marsh . His father died during that storm, and Lunjiko became the head of the family.

If your character has Knowledge(Local) +10 or more, she might have heard rumors of another daughter of Lonjiku from an affair he had outside his marriage while staying in Magnimar for business.
