Cayde is rejoins the missing piece of
The Black Blade with the rest of the sword. Once whole the sword becomes a legendary item granting it's user rejuvenating abilities. Irwin (
The Black Blade) now reveals to him the secrets of it's origins.
Made by
Ymeri herself in the Eternal Flames of the Auroric Palace for a mortal hero from times past. The human promised its return after he was done and to pledge servitude to the Queen. He never brought it back breaking this contract.
Cayde is a descendant of the hero and a daughter of The Storm Tyrant (Hshurha). The daughter was captured and incinerated by forces of Ymeri trying to find the location of the hero or his descendants. This started a war between the planes of fire and air that was still ongoing when the blade was put to rest in a hill on the material plane.
Cayde realizing he was the cause of a war due to his ancestor states his intention to return the sword later.
After this the group asks
Nine why they are not allowed to leave. He responds that they must pass another trial in order to leave again. He then points at the wall with a symbol of a corpse within a black void. The
Oathbearers decide to prep for their journey by buying a Wand of Restoration, making potions, resting, and eating. Early afternoon they let
Nine know they are ready and are set via hole in the floor to their Trial.
The group falls towards a body in the distance so large that they are only the size of it's finger nail. Before they can crash into it they appear inside of it left shoulder. Shortly after getting used their surroundings
Tik appears and explains to them they are within the Titan
Haradim. They spy Thum the lion who they are told they must console but decide to save for later. After some conversing they decide to start with the arm they are currently in.
Tik warns of death contraptions in each finger but as he's speaking
Tayschren walks down one and triggers a Fireblast trap damaging everyone in group, even knocking out
Zami. The group heals thanks to a Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds that
Nagaji is carrying.
The group decides to be more careful and sends
Amara to check and disable traps while
Paz walls the area off. This works for the first finger resulting in
Amara gaining some pricey trap components. The next finger though,
Amara is not as careful and walk onto a trap triggering a Confusion Trap. The party is concerned as she ends up attacking
Paz (not dealing sinificant damage) and herself. Eventually it passes and they turn to the last two fingers....
