Windbury - The Technical City
The city of Windbury is a technological wonder within the blossoming new continent that was founded 89 years ago from the rising of the dragon queen by a written agreement from Lord Grangerford and the dwarf lord Bali. Governance of the city is shared by a consortium of guild masters and a noble aristocrat, the dwarf lord Bali. Within the walls of the city live a combination of Dwarves, Gnomes, and Humans all steadfast worshippers of Ioun. The city is responsible for creations such as the airship and firearms; however, recently through a shared effort they have accepted lord Grangerford's wild magic shaping technology. Over the past few years however, the city has begun investing in alternate energy sources and looking more towards a mixture of steam and magic to remove themselves from the dependency of Grangerford's technology. The city is powered by a single power station ran by a dwarf named Ginzudrid. Under the city a massive entrance to the underdark lay hidden. Many expeditions have progressed further into the depths, but over time the citizens found themselves less and less interested in the darkness and wanting to look more to the skies thus leaving the trail way off towards any form of civilization within the under dark. Leading the charge in the steam designs is an older gnome by the name of Hevatin who has managed to build a car prototype that he parades around the city. After the war in the continent of Brifux with the Orc incursion, Grangerford petitioned that assembly of the factory. A gnome artificer by the name of Hevatin began production of the war forged to build an at the ready army to reduce the impact of lives lost while attempting to build out the new continent. Most of the city appears bleak and run down. Above the city, a slight haze hovers over most surrounding areas due to the heavy industrial aspects occurring within the confines of the city. Each factory utilitizes its own form of innovation dealing with anything imaginable.
