The Throat

"The land between..."

Between the two great continents of Hariel lies The Throat, a great land-bridge connecting them longitudinally, with a width somewhere around two hundred miles, and a length three times that. Not only does The Throat join the lands physically, it also connects them culturally.
Though small by comparison to the lands it touches, The Throat is nevertheless a thriving stretch of fiefdoms and trade towns, as well as the site of several arcane colleges, including the most renown bardic schools. It is also home to the free city of Progress, the largest land trade hub between Hariel Majour and Minuta.
