Golden Scales Trading Company

The Golden Scales Trading Company are a merchant guild that were founded in Al Zahar and operate out of it. They offer protection and organize caravans for traders all over Gran Lorien, from Carcasonne to Lorenthia. The guild is run by Squall Mena'harif, an air genasi also known as the Merchant Prince. The Golden Scales have everything from camel caravans, horse-drawn wagons, ostrich mounted merchants and large flagships. They use every means of travel to move exotic goods from the furthest reaches of Gran Lorien to the major cities, in order to sell their wares. As caravans have a tendency to come under attack from bandits, the Golden Scales have made it a habit to employ caravan guards. These guards are often mercenaries, sellswords, ex-military, and ex-town guards. They are typically well trained but not as elite as an order of knights would be.
