Greland Riverfoot Collapses

Riverfoot Collapses

Disaster / Destruction

444KS
1/2

A year to the day from its mysterious appearance, the crystallised Blackfire around the top of the tower at Riverfoot shattered with an almighty crack heard as far afield as Bayglen or Haycastle. It rained a storm of Blackstone shards down upon the castle and surrounding buildings. Over the course of the following days the cliff below the castle crumbled, finally pitching the entire castle, as well as its immediate neighbours, into the waters of The Bay of Glass below, destroying much of the settlement's docks and casting violent waves across the bay. Whatever had stirred up the Bay of Glass and The Mirror Sea and broken their centuries long calm remained, however. Fortunately the castle was already not much used, and both the buildings nearest the castle and the docks below it had long been abandoned to their eternal gloom, so there were no casualties to this event. With the Blackstone shattered, normal daylight returned to Riverfoot for the first time in a year.
