Session 10: Where the heck is that damned book? Report

General Summary

Licking their wounds from a tough resistance from the pacifist vamp, the heros debate on moving onward or taking a nap.  The nap voters win!  With binkies in their pusses, the heros have dreams of sugar plumbs and fairies. They wake up with stiff backs, sore arms, and throbbing wounds.  They quickly have a breakfast of dried meat and fruit and tack bread.  On wards ho!  Rowdy makes it to first base with his trident and seems happier today.  They encounter a room of silver orbs and have a smashing good time playing pinata.  After being haggard by a big ass wind bag, 3 shadows, and a grey ooze, they find treasure, keys, and a round metal orb.  The orb is a key to the hallway left of the gynoshpynx.  After overcoming a few traps, a microwave oven, a party of ghouls, the LoO find a strange aquarium that descends into a room with multiple guardians.  Vahakin charms the pants off a chimera and gets a free helicopter ride for he and his "friends". They bypass levels of the aquarium and enter a treasure room.  WD finds a pedestal, once meant to hold an ancient tome, missing of its treasure.  Pissed, he throws around the furniture, finding treasure and a secret door.  They grab the goods and ascend the secret hallway up to the original cave entrance.  Something is awry, as the cold wind and snow blast into the cave.  WD looks out upon a strange land, and has no answer from his celestial mount when he speed dials him.  This is not the desert they left behind, they are in a hilly snowy land.
