Session 16: It's a Small World After All Report

General Summary

After cleaning off the blood, flesh and fur from their weapons, Rowdy and Sir Dietrich press onwards to find out what the demon apes were guarding.  Ends up it was a small weapons cache and the nest of the two vrocks.  They slaughtered the defenders with ease, but one of the vrocks escaped.  Rowdy and Maya armed up with some demonic magical weapons and Sir WD takes a pass on that.  Thrasymicus gets another boat for them and they investigate the other hall, finding it leads to a 100 ft circular stairwell down to the water and a tunnel.  They pass on that route and take a float down the river to the right.  Spile transforms into a giant eagle and explores the waters forward, finding a huge statue of Demogorgon further downriver, and a side passage of a dry corridor.  There they interrupted a meeting of two gith and two demons.  The LoO kill the demons and the gith decide to retreat and vanish from sight.  One of the gith drops a letter, quickly found by WD.  While he reads it, Spile and Rowdy find a hidden hatch in the floor and uncover a jackpot of treasure and magical items.  They take a short rest to heal up and then continue exploring the hallway.
