Session 23: Coldsteel Report

General Summary

Creeping through the citadel, our heroes encounter a pack of winter wolves.  Maya, WD, and Rowdy charge forward clashing into the beasts.  They retaliate with breaths of winter wind and freeze the three of them, causing minor frostbite.  As they hack through the hounds, only to encounter more of them.  Jhoren takes flight and throws a ball of lightning at the hounds, electrocuting all of them.  CPT Spile takes note and summons a storm cloud in the center of the room.  The deposed archdevil Amon strides into the room, a 9 ft tall bare humanoid with a giant wolf's head, wielding a massive mace.  He summons a wall of ice, cutting the party in two and engages Thrasymachus.  While the titans battle, Maya and WD manage to kill most of the wolves, while Spile throws bolts of lightning from his storm, mostly damaging the ice wall.  Rowdy climbs the wall and throws down upon a wolf, cracking its spine and impaling it on Wave.  As the titan battle rages, WD flanks Amon and smites the archdevil with a fierce swing of Victamcue, cracking Amon's chest open and killing the archdevil.  With his last breath, the eons-old fallen angel gives up his soul to Victamcue, who devours it completely.  WD takes a knee before Thrasymachus as he takes in the meaning of what he has done.
The group recover, find the treasure box of Amon, and find a clock with black skulls along the edges and a red skull at 12 o'clock.  A sweeping skeletal arm with curved blade aims at 5 o'clock and slowly advances forward.  The party destroy the clock and move on.
They encounter a room with a glass box upon a 30' pedestal, filled with a green vapor.  After debate, they decide to leave it be and move onwards. Jhoren however lingers behind and breaks the glass cube, which spews forth the noxious green vapor.  He quickly catches up to the group at an alter to Geryon.  They deface the alter and depart.
They find a stairwell descending into the glacier and Spile and Jhoren go to explore.  They hear a clicking mechanical sound below, emanating from a double door in front of them.
