Graf
A Graf is a lord of intermediate rank in Stildane. The term "Count" is a good English parallel; Grafs rule over sizeable but not grand parcels of land. A Graf has subordinate nobles, but is always a subordinate themselves. Depending on their lands, they may be quite rich and influential, or poor and obscure. Regardless, it is a title worthy of respect. A Graf is certain to have warriors pledged to their name and legal power, regardless of their lands.
In Andrig, the title of Graf is thrown around more loosely - some of the Grafmarches there are essential Burgravates on the chaos frontier that have land claims that theoretically justify the elevated title. Even the better-established Grafs there tend to rule over less compared to other Grafs.
