Personal history
Born a peasant in 900, Gerhid grew up with a simple life. He worked with his farmer father and tanner mother on projects and once he got old enough to go to the nearby town of Clayrest on his own, he began helping everyone there as well. He quickly became known as "the boy with the noble heart" which would gain the attention of the local Baron. Baron Faben the Cruel lived up to his name. He had a jealousy issue and a heart of stone, so when he heard about this kind-hearted 16 year old, he felt the need to put an end to it. Faben attempted to have Gerhid executed for a form of tax evasion, but upon the chopping block Gerhid prayed for help, and heralded an answer from all four gods. Jorden the Immovable, Flint the Bright, Aeranus the Illusive, Aquarius the Bashful, they all arrived in the aid of Gerhid, but none knew the other was coming. Gerhid turned out to not just praise one god, but follow true Unyrdom, the religion involving all four. This earned their respect and belief that he was to be Astir, Master of the Gods, Balancer of the Four tide from between the Four Ranges, and most importantly, the uniter of Unity under the Kingdom of Unitia. They took him under their wing for 12 years, each taking him for a year at a time through a cycle that went through 3 times, until at the end of his last time with Aeranus, he was crowned High King, and transformed into the form of Astir. He then went around consolidating power, rearranging the systems of power in the godly realms, getting non godly realms such as the old lands of the Ros to swear fealty, and taming the lands of the Bloody Swells and giant infested South-West Mudslop. After this his final act of consolidation was to marry and have an heir. He would marry Carrir in 932, the daughter of the lord of Bilgeglade Ayduin Sylverstar offered her up himself. Astir would then go on to rule all of Unitia until 953, when during an argument with Flint the Bright, he would be murdered, and then his death would cause the event known as The Catalyst.
