Morduin

Morduin is located on the northeastern coast of Faenbelle, the northern island of Londthas, and is one of the three Elven kingdoms of Halth'aire. Morduin is the smallest of the three in terms of landmass, but the nation has the most concentrated and most populous population distribution of the Elven kingdoms. Morduin borders Caelcoa and is, like Caelcoa, a mostly Nsalenoric nation in terms of religious affiliation. Morduin is the most open of the three states in terms of global politics, having trade relations with Priwidor and Queria as well as the Kawi Amku. Morduic rulers have also involved the nation in various conflicts over trade routes, acting to preserve the mostly export focused economy of the state.   Morduin originally owned both its current territory and that of Caelcoa, but a revolution by Caelcoan dissidents, angry with presumed discrimination against Caelcoan elves, led to the breakaway of those southern territories. Now, Morduin is largely made up of the highly populated northeastern coast of Londthas, with most of that population located in various port towns along the coastline. Similarly to Caelcoa, Morduin's interior is largely unpopulated, with few farming communities making up the bulk of the nation's inner territories. There are some fortifications along the border between Caelcoa and Morduin, but they are largely unguarded and unmanned, a result of longstanding peace in Londthas. Morduin's only real standing military is a large navy, a testament to the Morduic lifestyle and culture being largely revolved around sailing and the sea in general.    Minhil Silvyr Gillana, the current ruler of Morduin, is plagued, in terms of his tenure as Minhil, by various supernatural and unlikely issues. Up until the last few years, his rule had been rather ordinary, but the recent and unending arcane storm plaguing the capital of Asnatalos as well as the strange disappearances of villages in the nation's interior has led to many believing him to be cursed and the root of their nation's problems. Many Morduic elves, those of the upper classes and aristocracy at least, have fled the nation, searching for a less dangerous and more stable environment. Various trade guild have migrated to Caelcoa or other parts of Morduin, causing massive shortages of mundane goods in the capital and nearby towns.
