Nìsso Yunri

The Nìsso Yunri is a small kingdom on the northern coast of Atux, bordered by the Moyi Wekk and the Sìkk Yunri. The Nìsso Yunri was once a part of the Sìkk Yunri, having been an autonomous region in the northern regions of the kingdom. When the Moyi Wekk had begun to revolt against the rule of the Sìkk Yunri, nobles within the Nìsso Yunri began to send gold and men into the Moyi Wekk, aiming to aid in strengthening the revolution to prevent a potential loss in the case of a full war. War eventually broke out, leading to a few years of deadly conflict across the Nìsso Yunri and Moyi Wekk, but the two kingdoms eventually managed to consolidate their lands and break from the Sìkk Yunri. The animosity of the Nìsso Yunri towards their former feudal lords was due to political differences, as the nobles of the Nìsso Yunri were close allies of Naadi nobles in the Yika Amku while the Sìkk Yunri was nearly a puppet-state of the Kich Mepyukk. These political differences caused a variety of cultural differences which led to tensions, as the majority of peoples in the Sìkk Yunri were Utoric while the majority of the Nìsso Yunri was Komtol and Hazcuo. Despite being Utor ethnically, the nobles of the Nìsso Yunri were influenced heavily, in terms of culture, by their Komtol and Hazcuo subjects.    The current ruler of the Nìsso Yunri is Hrok Jid Aber Oroxias, an Utor man who is the first of his lineage to take the kingdom's throne. Having been elected by a council of nobles after the previous king had died without an heir, Hrok became a popular and widely celebrated king. His rule has led to widespread economic development, and he has brokered trade agreements with major Naadi kingdoms such as the Yika Amku and the Set'o Amku. Thus, the Nìsso Yunri has prospered, relatively, under his rule. The kingdom itself is quite sparsely populated and only home to a few towns, most of them being ports on the northern coast. Its population is somewhat diverse, with Utor, Komtol, Naadi, and Hazcuo peoples all residing in its lands; however, few non-humans find themselves living in the Nìsso Yunri. The kingdom's mixture of cultures has led to it being known for its various architectural styles and its people's clashing fashions and cultural traditions.
