Yika Amku
The Yika Amku is an empire which controls the entirety of the Tzikas archipelago. The Yika Amku is a fairly young nation, having first formed over four centuries ago after the mythical warlord Miata Ikai united the various clans of Tzikas. Before unification, the various clans in Tzikas were embroiled in constant conflict over either territory or honor and reputation. The people of Yika, who are culturally Naadi like much of Almor's population, differ from similar peoples around them due to their adherence to a different sect of Dhunya Amarish, one that values an honorbound lifestyle dictated by specific culturally laws. Many conflicts arose between Tzikan clans due to almost ceremonial circumstances and cultural obligations to religious and traditional laws. Currently, however, the various clans of Tzikas are all united under a single government, controlled by a Hapus Pixxogiopo like that of the Ŕudfenian Amku. The Yika Amku influenced much of the governmental structure of the Ŕudfenian Amku despite its eventual betrayal of the fledgling nation in an attempt to finally claim land in Almor. Despite previous disagreements, the two nations are currently allied and enjoy a distant yet amicable friendship.
Culturally, Yika is a militaristic and honorbound nation that values its traditional customs and places great importance on militaristic and physical strength. Visitors to the nation describe many of even the largest cities as feeling dreary and unalive, a combination of the archipelago's dire weather, brutalist architecture, and inhospitable people. Tzikan Naadi people follow a strict sect of Dhunya Amarish that involves itself into both the religious and cultural aspects of people's lives, requiring them to live by a strict set of societal rules and laws that create a rigid, hierarchical society that reveres its leaders to the same extent as it reveres its gods. Apart from the Naadi in Tzikas, the birdlike Opix also reside in the archipelago. Due to the harsh and separated geography of Tzikas, most Opix live in their own feudal lands and preside over their own clans, not able to often mix with the more numerous Naadi. The Opix do not follow the Dhunya Arashi, instead following the original Dhunya Amarish faith.
The Yika Amku is a nation in solitude, with its only relations and treaties being a defensive pact with the Ŕudfenian Amku and minor trade agreements with guilds in northern Haraxim. The nation's powerful navy and harsh climate and topography deter potential threats while the government remains stable due to a long lasting and revered dynasty having remained in control for centuries on end.
