History
Riverbend Academy was constructed 185 years ago, just over three decades after the founding of the small river town of Acrine. As the town grew and its inhabitants recognized the need for education and the advancement of knowledge, a dedicated group of community leaders, supported by the local church, undertook the endeavor of establishing a school to serve the young minds of Acrine.
The construction of the schoolhouse was a collaborative effort, with townsfolk contributing their skills, resources, and time to bring the vision to life. The building itself was carefully designed to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings, incorporating elements of rustic charm and practicality.
Since its establishment, Riverbend Academy has remained a cornerstone of education in Acrine, shaping generations of students and fostering a love for learning.
