Baron Zarto

Baron Zarto is a wyvernborn noble from Broxemore. Zarto was sent out from The Crag at a young age to acquire gold for the hive. Zarto flew to Al Jafer, where he quickly got involved with the Bashirae. After climbing the ranks in a short period of time due to his persuasive charm, Zarto became a trusted faction agent. Eventually he even got a place at Bashara's inner circle, where he was promptly kicked out for trying to scam a fellow high ranking officer.
Zarto learned the ways of Broxemorean merchants, becoming a valuable member of the Bashirae on that continent. Zarto was on a mission in Fort Highlance when he heard the Titan fall. He was immediately sent on a mission to establish a trade post by a reluctant Yoonus, and Zarto excitedly agreed to do the job. Along with a few other Bashirae agents, Baron Zarto arrived on site and quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the camp. As a skilled diplomat and the clearly overpowering charismatic presence, he became one of the three leaders of Titan's Grave alongside Edan Nebuchad and Professor Degore Wymar.

Baron Zarto runs an effective operation at Titan's Grave, charging travelers, miners and explorers a large sum to gain access to the Titan's remains. He's the only of the three leaders to do so, giving him a unique position in the trade post. Zarto has to report to Yoonus every now and again, sending a portion of his gains to the Trade Prince.

Motivation

Zarto's motivations seem simple on a surface level, as he continuously strives for accumulating ridiculous amounts of wealth and fame. Suprisingly, Baron Zarto keeps very little of this wealth himself: he sends off half to the Bashirae, and the other half to the Crag, remaining equally loyal to both (unbeknown to both). He keeps only the necessary to himself, and much prefers the thrill of gaining wealth over actually keeping it.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Zarto is an expert charmer, being able to even gain sympathy from Edan Nebuchad, who despises him. Zarto's burning passion to support the causes he believes him drive him to extremes others don't go for.

Zarto doesn't care for combat, and would rather pay others to fight for him. He prefers to talk things through if he can.
