Landmark: Raginwald
The Raginwald is a massive mountain-range inhabited by the Drekkin. The massive glaciated mountain range separates the Badlands from the rest of the Heimland.
Geography
The mountain-range was once a dry and sandy landmass inhabited by large monitor-lizards known as "Ēlainōgoanna". After the atomic-bomb known as "Big-Bahama" was dropped onto the Raginwald by the Old Folk in an effort to annihilate the invading Surakh, the Drekkin were created. The nuclear bomb also irradiated most of the Raginwald, messed with the weather enough that it made the Raginwald a lush, more habitable place than ever before. This also explains why some places in the Raginwald are sandy desert, others are thick rain-forests and salty mangroves and others are frozen tundras. The rivers of the Raginwald are radioactive, but pose no threat to the Drekkin who drink from them as the Drekkin are already a species with Nuclear-Magic mixed in their blood.
Fauna & Flora
A variety of birds and insects (like massive dog-scorpions) dwell in the Raginwald. But the most common animals are the goanna (monitor-lizards) that include species such as the Perentie, Lace-monitor, Sand-goanna, water-monitor, Spiny-tailed monitor, Mangrove-monitor, Black-headed monitor, Short-tailed monitor, Argus-monitor, Rusty-desert monitor, Stripe-tailed goanna, Black-spotted ridge-tailed monitor, Emerald tree-monitor and the Canopy-goanna. Also common are the Yappies, large reptilian wild-dogs that feed on these lizards.
Natural Resources
Natural resources include salt, minerals and gems, coal and high concentrations of liquid Moona.
